NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Decatur Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 7:00pm. at the Decatur Township Hall, 103 East Delaware, Decatur, Michigan, concerning a proposed Solar Ordinance.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE An Ordinance to add definitions related to solar energy; to add industrial solar energy as a special use in the Agricultural AG zoning classifications; to set forth parameters for consideration by the planning commission; to provide for an effective date of the amendment; and to repeal all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith.

Written comments, concerns and/or objections concerning this conditional use request may be submitted on or before January 27, at 5pm to Katie Hartwell, Township Clerk and Planning Commission Secretary, at P.O Box 33, Decatur, MI 49045 or decaturtwpclerk@gmail.com .

Anyone interested in reviewing the related application may examine a copy at the Decatur Township Hall by contacting the Clerk (269-359-1050).

The Township will provide the necessary, reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at any public hearing/meeting upon advance notice to the Township Clerk, Katie Hartwell.
